I was always intrigued by fashion and the fashion design process is my passion. I started sketching fashion illustrations at a young age. I would spend hours at a time sketching fashion illustrations and making clothes out of my father’s work shirts. My friends and I would showcase my designs by wearing them to the local mall.
I was surrounded by creativity throughout my childhood. My mother sewed some of my school clothes, Halloween costumes and she was a amazing interior decorator. My grandmother’s both sewed clothes, quilts, crocheted beautiful blankets and sewed home decor. I had planned on going into a design field following my high school graduation but that all changed my senior year of high school.
I went a different path following a major car accident in May of 1990. I had received speech therapy following my car accident. I loved the aspect of what it was about and helping others. Speech Language Pathology became my new passion – although the sense of fashion never left my DNA. This year I decided not to let another year go by and decided to take the journey of fashion and see where it takes me!
